Start the camera, open a video, or drop in a photo. The scanner tracks 478 facial landmarks and 52 expression coefficients per frame, maps them onto the muscles and FACS action units that produce them, and watches the time series for micro-expressions.

Seven poses, or keys 1–7. Each capture counts down three seconds and keeps the peak frame. Keep the head level and the camera at eye height.

Brow heights are measured from the pupil centre to the brow, after levelling the head, in percent of the pupil-to-pupil distance (about 63 mm in adults, so 10 % ≈ 6 mm). Muscle values are the model's intensity estimates at the peak of each pose.

Intensity is the model’s expression coefficient for the movement each muscle produces (0–100%). It is an estimate from video, not EMG. Masseter and temporalis clenching are not visible to the model and are not listed.

Event log

Events appear here once a video source is running. A micro-expression is an onset-to-offset burst lasting about 40–500 ms; longer events are logged as macro or sustained.
